Worlds to explore
A continuous journey through money, networks, keys, transactions, mining and self-custody, with optional side routes for deeper questions.
I teach Bitcoin. I built Bitcoin Tour with Claude as an interactive alternative to a slide deck: a visual journey through the technology, the philosophy and the questions behind our money.
I teach Bitcoin. I wanted a way to explain the technology and the philosophy that people could explore, question and return to. Bitcoin Tour turns that lesson into a world, with interactive demonstrations, an original character and a museum next door.
A continuous journey through money, networks, keys, transactions, mining and self-custody, with optional side routes for deeper questions.
A spatial account of Bitcoin’s history. Thirty-one collection entries connect documents, machines, people and cautionary stories.
Bitboy, a character I designed myself: museum guide, expressive mascot and the star of a small coin-catching game.
The ledger becomes a network. A key becomes a vault. A transaction travels through a station and a waiting room. Mining becomes a hands-on hash demonstration. These metaphors give a conversation something concrete to start from.
A chapter index, glossary, Dutch and English text, and sound controls let visitors choose their own route. The deeper branches cover smart contracts, DAOs, other coins and possible machine payments.
The hood, anonymous face and expressive poses belong to the same world. A dedicated character page adds a passport, twelve poses and a Pocket ₿ game with a score saved in the visitor’s browser.
Meet Bitboy ↗Six rooms take visitors from the whitepaper and the first transactions to mining hardware, lost keys and Bitcoin around the world. A floor plan, object cards and provenance notes support exploration. The displayed objects are digital recreations, labelled as such.
Enter the Bitcoin Museum ↗“Fix the money, fix the world” expresses the philosophy that draws me to Bitcoin: thinking about fairness, saving, ownership and the future. I want to help people understand inflation and make informed choices for themselves. A limited supply does not guarantee a stable price or protection from losses.
Read the personal Journal story ↗I give Bitcoin courses and enjoy helping people find their way in. We can explore the ideas, work through the practical questions and use the Tour as a shared learning space.
Ask about a Bitcoin course ↗Concept, teaching approach, visual direction and Bitboy character: Sander Oord. Built with Claude by Anthropic. The earlier Lijn ₿ prototype is recorded as Claude Opus 5.5 with the “high” setting, confirmed by Sander. The exact model version used for every part of this expanded live release has not been separately recorded.
This Lab entry describes the public experience reviewed on 25 October 2026. World and collection counts describe that version. The live website may continue to evolve.
